Telematic insurance gains popularity among fleets

The increasing interest of fleets in using telematics systems is caused by the intention to reduce insurance costs.

Toad Group has concentrated on trials of pay-per-use insurance telematics and now is cooperating with insurers to test the systems. Pay-per-use technology tracks data on how and when a vehicle is driven und calculates insurance premiums on that basis. Sales Director Andrew Sarssam assumed, that large-fleeted companies would show great interest in that technology.
