China: Partnership between GyPSii & NAV2

GyPSii, the geolocation and mobile social networking provider signed a map licensing agreement with Shanghai's digital map provider, NAV2. According to the agreement, NAV2 guarantees full access to its comprehensive China map database covering more than 980 cities and more the five million POIs for GyPSii users.

The database will be determining for the launch of the GyPSii service in China, where the provider has recently increased its infrastructure with the opening of a Data Centre in Shanghai and a major partnership announcement with China Unicom and Shanghai Rannuo to launch GyPSii during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
According to NAV2 chairman, Dr Carl Sun, the China map database is a powerful resource purely used for personal and automotive navigation and the company is excited to enter uncharted waters with GyPSii and its partners in social networking.
