Quanta launches connected navigation systems in Brazil

Leading automotive equipment manufacturer Quanta will expand Telogis' aftermarket product portfolio with two lines of navigation devices, powered by Telogis' navigation engine.

In order to provide a next-generation navigation system, Quanta's RADAR solutions will utilize the company's market-leading mapping platform, GeoBase, for visual and audible turn-by-turn navigation, incorporating "connected navigation" features via GSM Modem. The device is able to receive routes and messaging instructions from any back office.

According to Quanta Technology's CEO, Silvio Cirelli, improved navigation technology and connected services increase the efficiency of their transportation and field service customers. Fuel consumption and environmental impact are reduced and driver safety is increased with improved route planning and control.
