Cybit signs partnership with Ford

Cybit and Ford have become partners to provide a fully managed service solution for Ford Fleet customers.

The agreement contains the formal framework appointing Cybit as Ford's telematic partner. Further, Cybit is given exclusive telematics access to Ford's detailed and confidential CanBus coding information, enabling Cybit software to interface with the existing Ford CanBus systems on the current Ford Transit and Transit Connect models.
The in-vehicle GPS provides real-time positioning information, which, when collated, is combined with CanBus data and transmitted via O2's GPRS network to Cybit's servers.
This data is processed into a broad spectrum of user defined strategic reports, providing real-time fleet visualisation or historical analysis, and then distributed via the Internet.
