At the annual shareholders' meeting Nokia's CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said he expects to sell 35 million GPS-enabled phones this year.
He also defended his $8.1 billion acquisition of digital map maker Navteq in 2007. According to him the recent market developments in pedestrian navigation, map services and digital maps assured Nokia in that decision. "We are even more ecited about the opportunities than when making the decision," he said.
