Acacia subsidiary settles legal dispute with SageQuest

Generally relating to systems and methods for displaying mobile vehicle information on a map, the Telematics technology can be used in navigation and fleet management systems that combine wireless communication with GPS tracking and map displays.

Such agreements are par for the course with Acacia.

By entering into patent licence agreements with Cemtek, GPS Insight, Datatrac, Horizon Technologies, Air-Trak and Telogis, the company has settled a string of similar disputes in the past few months and last year, its subsidiary Mobile Traffic Systems settled patent litigation against Garmin USA, Magellan Navigation and TomTom.
