According to a CSC-source, Michigan-based Jackson National Life Insurance Co. has licensed CSC's Business Analytics software to access and analyze business intelligence information from the carrier's multiple financial service systems. Jackson, a prominent individual annuity writer, will use the software to track key metrics and proactively address rapidly changing market conditions.
Since CSC introduced the offering in May 2009, Jackson is the first Business Analytics client. Directed at life insurance and annuity providers, the system uses SAP BusinessObjects XI solutions and comes with pre-built visual, interactive dashboards and insurance-specific analytical reports that can be used in all Jackson subsidiaries, according to the CSC source. Under the licensing terms is the integration of the software with Jackson's current systems, including CSC's CyberLife policy administration system and incentive compensation management system PerformancePlus, marketed by the vendor.
Jackson National Life's executive vice president and chief administrative officer, George Napoles, commented: „We were looking for a solution that would extract, reconcile and present data from multiple systems throughout our organization to help us gain greater insight into our business operations and customer actions." CSC's Business Analytics would help them positioning themselves to reach their strategic growth objectives.
