Garmin and Asus have announced the release of their co-branded nüvifone M20 and nüvifone G60 smartphones.
Powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the nüvifone M20 and G60 smartphones combine a dual-band 3.5G/tri-band GSM phone with Wi-Fi connectivity, desktop-like internet browser, push email, document viewing, multi-media capability, Bluetooth® and Garmin sat nav with turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions.
Additionally, the nüvifone product line includes an LBS application named Ciao!TM, that enables users to see their friends' locations on a map, and enables users to automatically update their social network location information.
Garmin-Asus expects to announce pricing and availability details for the nüvifone M20 and G60 in the first half of 2009.
