TomTom WORK launches truck-specific navigation solution

With the release of TomTom WORK's new truck navigation solution, the company presents new truck-specific route information.

The new included routing algorithms enables truckers to avoid small town roads and narrow residential areas where possible, as well as comply with height and weight restrictions. By taking typical truck speeds into account, the software produces realistic ETAs.

By simply entering his vehicle's parameters - measurements, axle weight and total weight - into the software, the driver can optimize his route.

Provided as an optional accessory on SD card, the solution features maps of Central and Western Europe; and truck navigation is available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Benelux and the UK.
