TomTom and Advantage deliver intelligent fleet routing solution

TomTom partners with Advantage Integrated Solutions to optimise business fleet organisation and itinerary planning on TomTom PRO series nav devices.

The Advantage SmartRoutes Internet application allows TomTom to provide a way for fleet managers and route dispatchers to organise, plan and optimise routes. This solution also gives drivers detailed mapping information.

The TomTom PRO 4000 and PRO 8000 include TomTom Map ShareTM, the "Help Me!" emergency resources menu, millions of POIs and TomTom's Latest Map Guarantee. The PRO 8000 is also equipped with IQ RoutesTM, Advanced Lane Guidance, Voice Address Input and Bluetooth® handsfree calling.

Using Advantage SmartRoutes and TomTom's "Add to TomTom" functionality, a dispatcher can centralise and automatically geocode map, customer and other destination information, and then visually create and download full, optimised itineraries onto each PRO Series device, which will then take each driver to all the places he needs to go, in sequence, most efficiently.
