Telmap announces first navi app for Windows Phone 7

Telmap has announced the availability of the first search, mapping and navigation solution for the new Windows Phone 7 operating system.
The first launch of the special edition of Telmap5 Mobile Location Companion for Windows 7 will be by SingTel in Singapore who will be showcasing their Telmap-based SingTel Xplorer application on the new Windows Phone 7.
The application will provide users with real-time local services including:
- In-car turn-by-turn navigation with 3D moving maps, voice and text instructions announcing street names and Points of Interest such as gas stations and parking lots along the way, a dedicated pedestrian navigation, local search and content enhanced specifically for the Windows Phone 7.
- Full Singapore and Malaysia maps.
- Real-time traffic information.
- Cell-ID function to plan a route even when indoors.
Telmap is working with all of its customers to bring the Telmap5 Mobile Location Companion for Windows Phone 7 to their subscribers and more operators are expected to launch in the near future.
