NAVTEQ enhances its full navigable map coverage with around 320,000 km of roads in Greece.
Including more than sixty 3D Landmarks in twenty cities and an extensive range of POIs - all geo-referenced to the NAVTEQ map, the new release also offers NAVTEQ Discover Cities for pedestrian navigation in Athen. Data includes pavements and pedestrian-only tunnels, bridges, passageways and shopping streets plus stairs, escalators and lifts.
Underlining the company's ongoing commitment to Eastern Europe and the Balkan peninsula, where NAVTEQ already provides 100% coverage of the population in the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, NAVTEQ plans to expand coverage for Albania, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and the Ukraine.
