Cross Country Automotive has secured a deal with ATX Group for an undisclosed sum.

The strategic addition of ATX to Cross Country expands its service portfolio and extends its telematics offerings and ability to deliver vehicle and driver services to automotive, insurance, vehicle aftermarket and other consumer-facing industries.

Furthermore, Cross Country faces a welcome expansion of its client base and infrastructure to Europe and complements its presence in the China market. The Automotive Services provide technology-enabled vehicle and driver programs in North America.

Providing telematics programs to several global automobile manufacturer clients (representing approximately one million vehicle owners) in Western Europe, the US, Canada and Puerto Rico, ATX telematics services include location-specific emergency and roadside assistance, automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle recovery, remote diagnostics and real-time traffic and navigation assistance.

Under the terms of the agreement, Cross Country CEO Michael Saxton is CEO of the combined entity, and ATX Group president & CEO Steven Millstein is now president of Cross Country Automotive Services and general manager - telematics.
