AAA rolls out two new cost-saving programs for roadside assistance fleets

In order to offer a cost-saving fuel card program and fuel management consulting to its 10,500+ road service providers, AAA has partnered with Sokolis Group and Fuelman.

The Fuelman MasterCard Card® offers AAA service providers a discount on fuel and non-fuel purchases anywhere MasterCard cards are accepted, with an extra discount available at 17,000 participating Fuelman locations.

To reduce unauthorised use, the program has customisable card controls, including dollar limits and purchasing restrictions and service providers will also have access to online account information and transaction details.
For AAA club and affiliated service providers with fleets of 25 vehicles or more, Sokolis Group offers fuel management and fuel consulting at a discounted rate including local fuel market surveys, fuel pricing negotiations on a local/regional level and analysis of the fleet's current fuel practices. Sokolis then designs and delivers a cost-effective comprehensive fuel program to reduce overall fuel costs.

According to automotive vice president Marshall Doney, one of the AAA's club fleets has already achieved monthly savings of $12,000 as a direct result of the program that Sokolis Group developed for them.
