A8 gets internet connectivity

German car manufacturerer AUDI launches telematics services within its A8 series.

A prerequisite in order to get Audi Online is the MMI Navigation Plus system with MMI Touch handwriting recognition. The 'Bluetooth-Autotelefon' option to purchase adds Bluetooth SAP (with GSM module) and a SIM card slot. By connecting a SAP capable mobile phone or insert a SIM card, the user gains access to Audi''s online services.

Some of the services included in Audi Online are: Google POI search, Weather information, News, and Destination Send-to-Car from Google Maps & myAudi online portal.
